Apparently the Effects of Bullying Last Into Adulthood, Study Finds.
That sounds like an understatement. My personal experiences being bullied were likely not the most extreme, and I would say that besides being the direct reason for me dropping out of high school, the effects of bullying practically defines my adulthood.
According to the new study "victims of bullying in childhood were 4.3 times more likely to have an anxiety disorder as adults." But the ramifications for bullies may even be worse as Catherine Saint Louis writes "victims of bullying, and bullies themselves, are more likely to have an anxiety disorder, panic disorders and other psychiatric problems as adults..."
