The next hacking frontier: Your brain?

By Hadley Leggett - WIRED

Hackers who commandeer your computer are bad enough. Now scientists worry that someday, they'll try to take over your brain.
• Scientists can use thoughts to operate computers, wheelchairs and Twitter
• As tech develops, risk of "brain hacking" become more real, scientists say

Ever since voice recognition technology came out I've been saying that it would never take off. Why convert an analog voice signal to digital when you have digital brain waves? All you have to do is figure out how to translate those digital brain signals. Well it only makes sense that once you understand how to read those digital signals its only a matter of time before someone figures out how to 1) read them from a distance and 2) write and over ride them. So here we are, moments away from the day when someone can point a receiver at you and read your mind, then point a transmitter at you and change it. Wait, no, that will never happen. That's ridiculous.
