MMA Ratings

At the beginning of the year I started a website (MMA Kamander) dedicated for tracking MMA fight and event ratings based popular opinion. The site has just been renamed MMA Ratings (http://www.mmaratings.net).

Fitness history

I recently ran into someone in the gym that I haven't seen since I first moved to Rye about two years ago. He commented on how much bigger I am now then I was then.

That's interesting (to me) because I was about the same size when I was working out in Hoboken.

Blog Ratings by Outbrain

As you can see you can now rate our blogs. I'm using Outbrain for this service.

I highly recommend Outbrain to anyone who is publishing content and wants to be a part of a common effort to reduce information overload. That's what Outbrain does by capitalizing on the collective ratings of others and making educated recommendations. It has the potential to filter out the excess, miscellaneous, trivial news, poorly written content and leave you with only the valuable information you want. In addition, John and the rest of the Outbrain support staff are responsive, intelligent, flexible, and eager to provide a product that meets the demands of their customers.

Training Routine

For years I've maintained a similar training cycle: chest/triceps, back/biceps, shoulders, legs, repeat. It's worked out well and I have changed it up every now and then: sometimes working shoulders in with chest and back, sometimes doing a leg excercise before ches and back, and sometimes doing legs/shoulders together. I would always try to work cardio in, but undoubtedly that's been an area where I have slacked off.

Raphael Spindell

I recently caught up with an old friend of mine, Ralph, who, as it turns out, has been caught up in an incredibly tragic and heartbreaking story.

I found links to the story on ScaryNY and BabyReference.com, in addition to Ralph's responses to the situation on Fine? Why Fine? and a mail archive.

Other links describing the tragedy include:

Hannah's Fancy Nancy Birthday Party

We went to Hannah's Fancy Nancy birthday party, so of course we had to dress fancy. Fancy Nancy was there with little orphan Annie and Dorothy and the Cat in the Hat.

Gary Gygax, Game Pioneer, Dies at 69

Gary Gygax, game pioneer, and co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, died at 69, and though my taste for D&D faded long ago (only to be replaced with a preference for other role-playing games), I guess I have to say he had a significant impact in my life.

RSS Feed Subscriptions

If you subscribe to this feed, or any kamander feed, make sure you subscribe to the FeedBurner feed. I plan on moving the blogs around and the native Blogger feeds will no longer work.

You can also use the email or RSS subscription links on the top of the sidebars (provided here):
