For the many years I was training regularly (3-4 times a week) at Koguma Dojo (many years ago) the classes were about 180 minutes long. We spent a lot of time working drills across the floor. They were very repetitive, but whenever anyone complained I remember Sensei David Anderson saying "have you mastered them?" so I never complained. I always tried to do my drills enthusiastically and give energy back to the class.
But there were times when I felt like I was going to pass out, and times when I felt like I might throw up. I knew that if I complained or brought it up, it would not go well so I kept it to myself. So instead I pushed myself harder, and inside there was a part of me that thought 'when I pass out, or throw up, then I'll show them.'
I tried to push myself as hard as I could, but I never threw up and I never passed out. I just got stronger.
Thank you Sensei! Osu!
