On our long labor day weekend Eason and I continued our Labor Day push-up challenge.
But that's not all we did. There was running and swimming and boating and some celebrating as well.
More pictures below:
Last year we wanted to see how many push-ups we could do in an hour. This time we didn't have that much time, due to my own procrastination, so we tried to see how quickly we could do our push-ups. We did sets every three minutes. Eason did 300 in 35 minutes (30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 20, 20, 20, 15, 20, 10, 15) and I did 500 in 40 minutes (50, 50, 40, 30, 40, 40, 30, 30, 30, 40, 30, 30, 30, 30).
Eason and I also planned on swimming across the lake and back. He got tired almost immediately. He made it across, but only by constantly resting on his back. He went so slow I was able to dog paddle the whole way next to him. Aviva picked him up on the boat and brought him back while I went freestyle. When he got back to the other side he felt defeated. I told him I wasn't bothered by it. I reminded him of the time he struggled running one mile. I expressed my confidence that one day this would be one of those stories.
