After 14 hours of labor at St. Mary's Hospital, midwife Nancy Fogel and Dr. Stefano Stella determined that Eason, at 9 cms., was in transverse arrest and would require a cesarean delivery.
Eason Kamander was born 8 pounds 9 ounces, 22.5 inches at 1:39 AM, on August 20, 2003.

At delivery it was discovered that the umbilical cord was wrapped around Eason's neck three times and it was actually very fortunate that the attempt at vaginal delivery had not progressed any further.
I was present at the operation and helped remove Eason from Aviva's womb.
