Wedding Vendors

These are all the vendors we used at our wedding:

Hotel Alcott
107-113 Grant Street
Cape May, NJ 08204
(800) 272-3004
(609) 884-5868
(609) 884-8871 (fax)

At first I was skeptical of the Alcott, but in the end I'm really glad we chose it for our reception. It's a charming place. Kate and Carolyn were extremely helpful and courteous during the entire time we were planning our event. We called them constantly with questions about rooms and prices and space. Alan, did a great job with all the food from the cocktail hour-and-a-half to the dinner. The food was excellent and we received a lot of compliments. Just watch out for Nick, the wedding coordinator. He was rude and insulting and lied to us more than once. Make sure you get everything in writing before you sign. Fortunately for us he didn’t show up on our wedding day.

Mayor Suzanne Walters
Stone Harbor
(609) 368-4266

Suzanne went above and beyond to help us. We wrote our own vows and we didn't want to share them with anyone including each other before the ceremony. Suzanne helped us with them. She also really guided the entire ceremony.

Sunset Pavilion
Beach & Second Avenues
Cape May, NJ 08204

This is where we actually had the ceremony.

Mayor Jerome Inderwies, Cape May
(609) 884-9525

You have to go through the mayor's office to book the Sunset Pavilion. Linda Riddle was extremely friendly and very helpful.

Paramount Air Service
P.O. Box 155
Rio Grande, NJ 08242
(609) 886-9090
(609) 886-7379 (fax)

They went out of their way to help me out outside of their regular season and provided an excellent surprise for Aviva as you can see in Tom's photos. They were a big hit.

The Tux Shop
341 Bloomfield Street
Hoboken, NJ 07030
(201) 963-6920

I got my shoes, shirt, vest and tie. I'd go there again.

Bill Saracco Victory Baking Service
Route 9 & Route 147
Cape May Court House
Burleig, NJ 08210
(609) 465-4421

They made the best wedding cake I ever tasted. We got a lot of compliments.

Virginia Hotel
25 Jackson Street
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-5700
(800) 732-4236

We stayed here for a couple of days after the wedding for a pre-honeymoon. Excellent service and beautiful accommodations.

Cape May Carriage Company
641 Sunset Boulevard
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-4466

Aviva used their beautiful white canopied carriage to bring her to the ceremony.

Lee Terranova
681 Fifth Avenue (53rd & 54th)
New York, NY 10022
(212) 758-6660
(212) 715-5906 (fax)

Lee Terranova was very helpful picking out Aviva's engagement ring. We also registered at Fortunoff which gave us a discount when we purchased Aviva's wedding ring.

Max Hefter
Holyland Industries
12735 NW 15th Street
Sunrise, FL 33323
(954) 553-0909
(954) 838-0205 (fax)

We got 120 embroidered towels for our guests. We placed them on the chairs at the beach in case it was to windy, sunny, or chilly (which is wasn't). They really helped decorate the beach and I think people appreciated them as favors.

Great American Trolley Company
821 Shunpike Road
Cape May, NJ 08204
(800) 487-65590

We used the trolley to bring everyone from the hotel to the beach and back. I think everyone really enjoyed it.

Cape Winds Florist
110-B North Broadway
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-1865

They decorated the reception area and provided all the bouqets and boutonnieres which were beautiful. However, they were reluctant to go out of their way to deliver our trellis to the beach.

Classie Sounds Entertainment
24 Avenue O
Brooklyn, NY 11204
(800) 794-6293
(718) 256-5700
They were a half hour late to the ceremony, which caused a lot of anxiety as we needed their microphone on the beach. However, once they arrived, they were helpful, poilte, professional and kept everyone dancing the entire time!

Collier's Liquor Store
202 Jackson Street
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-8488
(609) 884-0297 (fax)

They were very helpful and they take back any unused alcohol for a refund.

770 Broadway (Astor)
New York, NY 10003
(212) 673-1540

Maurice King was so extremely helpful getting us our candle holders and candles. He deserves a raise.

Kate's Paperie
8 West 13th Street
New York, NY 10011
(212) 633-0570
(212) 366-6532 (fax)

We got some of our invitation paper from here. Nice place.

Paper Access
23 West 18th Street
New York, NY 10011
(212) 463-7035
(800) 727-3701
(800) 813-0908 (fax)
(212) 463-7022 (fax)

We got some of our invitation paper from here. Nice place.

Accent On Beauty
128 Sunset Boulevard
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-7040

We both had a massages here the day before our wedding. My massage was great, but it was supposed to be an hour and half and I guess she started the clock when I arrived and included the time spent filling out the form (that's a big pet peeve of mine). Otherwise I have no complaints. Everyone's hair and nails looked great at the wedding.

Afkari & Sons Inc.
580 5th Avenue, Store #6
New York, NY 10036
(212) 768-4320
(212) 768-7361 (fax)

I got my wedding ring here. Mehran Afkari was extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend them.

Martino Studio of Photography
10 South Michigan Avenue
Kenilworth, NJ 07033
(908) 245-5110

They were very nice in the office and at the wedding. It took a long time to get our stuff, but the photo albums and the video came out great. Make sure you get everything in writing. The method they use to have you select the photos you want is extremely cumbersome and ruins the proofs.

Thomas Ungerland
149 Grand Street, 3E
New York, NY 10013
(917) 861-4535

Tom Ungerland took all these pictures of the ceremony and the reception.

Summer Station
217 Beach Avenue
Cape May, NJ 08204
(609) 884-8800
(800) 248-8801

We stayed at the Summer Station the Thursday night before the wedding. The suites were really good for the price. Very spacious.

Joanna Harvey Flutist
(609) 886-6463
(609) 898-7227 (fax)

Joanna played her flute for us during the ceremony on the beach. In retrospect I wish we would have given her a microphone, but the people sitting on her side of the aisle said they really enjoyed her music.
