I started a new job as Director/Server Engineer.
Some of the things I did:
Engineer and support global network infrastructure including servers, firewalls and connectivity.
• Manage global security environment: firewalls, proxies, routing, perimeter, DMZ, VPN, monitoring, upgrades.
• Lead and train global security team for all aspects security facilitation.
• Design and implement security solutions throughout global enterprise.
• Design and implementation of multiple Active Directory migrations and server consolidations.
• Consolidation of heterogeneous DNS/DHCP environment (MS, BIND, Cisco) into Active Directory integrated.
• Setup and support replication for mission critical environment for disaster recovery in co-location facilities.
• Rack and build ProLiant servers and assist in development of unattended installation.
• Configure monitoring software to enable more proactive server maintenance.
• Participate in planning and implementation of global network and server related conventions and architecture.
