As per <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/27/opinion/27mon2.html>NYTimes.com</a>, "Over the last four decades, the obesity rates for adolescents have tripled. Unless there is decisive action, weight and inactivity-related disorders will afflict a steadily larger proportion of the work force."
ReplyDeleteThe point isn't that sugar is *a* factor, it's that as far as diet goes sugar is *the*. Maybe, hopefully, his is obvious to you, but many people are still living with 1980s conceptions that eating fat makes you fat, that eating fat-free foods is beneficial, and that measuring calories is an efficient and effective dietary method.

Duh. Of course increased sugar is a factor. There is no quick and easy fix for a healthy body. People want instant gratification. It's not happening!!
